The Talk of Tinseltown
Michael Jackson

The Hero's parents sent me a text message yesterday afternoon. It said Michael Jackson had been rushed to the hospital in cardiac arrest. I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I checked a few websites before I clicked over to TMZ. The headline read...

Like everyone else, I was stunned. I grew up listening to Michael. His videos were in constant rotation on MTV. He could sing. He could dance. He could put on a show like no other. He was one of a kind. As a fan, I will miss his presence in today's Pop Culture. It's a shame he couldn't have the comeback he so deserved.

Lyrics from my favorite Michael Jackson song...

Hey pretty baby with the high heels on
You give me fever like I've never, ever known
You're just a product of loveliness
I like the groove of your walk, your talk, your dress
I feel your fever from miles around
I'll pick you up in my car and we'll paint the town
Just kiss me baby and tell me twice
That you're the one for me
The way you make me feel
You really turn me on
You knock me off of my feet
My lonely days are gone

What's your favorite Michael song?

"The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever." -- Madonna

"We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music, but of all music." -- Justin Timberlake

"His music will be remembered forever and my memories of our time together will be happy ones." -- Paul McCartney

"I don't think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I've ever known." -- Elizabeth Taylor

"He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever." -- Quincy Jones

"He was one of the most gifted and original talents the world has ever known. He inspired a generation of young people and amazed the rest of the world. There has never been anyone like him. There will never be another Michael Jackson. I can't wrap my mind around this terrible news." -- Barry Manilow

"A predicted ending by him, by loved ones and by me, but what I didn't predict was how much it was going to hurt when it finally happened. I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now. The world is in shock, but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right." -- Lisa Marie Presley

The Talk of Tinseltown
Ed + Farrah

Today's post won't feature celebrity dirt and gossip. Instead, I will pay tribute to those we've loved and lost. It's been a rough week for celebrities and fans around the globe. When I started working on this yesterday, I had no idea I would need to add a third person to the list. I'm still in shock. Check back later for a tribute to Michael Jackson.

RIP Ed McMahon

RIP Farrah Fawcett

Barack + Burger King

Billy Joel and Katie Lee are divorcing after five years of marriage. Who's Katie Lee? He's 60. She's 27.
Any other questions?

RPattz was clipped by a taxi cab in New York City yesterday. He walked away unscathed. I don't know why people are surprised. Vampires have superhuman reflexes. When I heard the news from Ryan Seacrest on Twitter, I may have said a silent prayer of thanks. What would the tweens and cougars do without their Edward Cullen fix?

David Archuleta's dad was charged with soliciting a massage parlor prostitute. His lawyer states he was getting legitimate massage therapy for his back. I don't think so, buddy. First of all, who goes to a massage parlor called Queens of Reiki? Unbeknownst to Mr. Archuleta, the parlor was being investigated due to the scantily clad masseuses and swift exits made by the patrons. Yep. Those were definitely hookers.

Al Roker interviewed Heidi and Spencer on The Today Show this week. He apparently talked down to the couple and made Heidi cry. Al, you are my hero. Now get back to the weather. I need to know if it's going to rain tomorrow. Little Man has an outdoor birthday party to attend.

President Barack Obama killed a fly during a recent interview with CNBC. He was successful on his first try. I don't know about you, but I feel safe knowing my leader has the reflexes of a cat.

I couldn't find a picture of Obama killing the fly, so I settled for one of him dancing with Ellen DeGeneres.

Piers Morgan, from Britain's Got Talent, is the model and spokesperson for a new fragrance from Burger King. Yes, a new fragrance from Burger King. It smells like meat.

Let me share my fashion finds with you.

I've been frustrated with my wardrobe lately. I'm tired of buying poorly made clothes. They look great on the hanger, but end up looking old and worn out after a few washes. I have two new shirts with holes in them. Why is it so hard to find well made clothes at an affordable price?

I decided to buy a few staple pieces to mix in with what I already have. The first two are from Victoria's Secret. I already own both in other colors. I love the shirt in yellow, so I bought another in white. White, as we all know, goes with everything. I also picked up a pair of their Christie Fit dress pants in grey. I already have them in black and tan. They are the best dress pants I've ever owned. If you're ever in need of pants for work, these are the best. They have them in different styles depending on what you're looking for. They are sized by waist and length, so you can get the perfect fit. They're also on sale!

The rest of the items are from Chadwick's. I've never ordered from Chadwick's, so I'm taking a bit of a chance. If something doesn't work out, they have a great return policy. Now all I need are some accessories to go with my new clothes!

Both VS and Chadwick's are having great sales right now.

So, tell me. Where's your favorite place to shop for clothes?

The transformation is complete.

I did it. I purchased handbagsandhandguns.com.

Blogger should point you in the right direction, but I've added the link below if you need it.

Since I don't have anything else to say, I'll leave you with pictures of my two favorite vampire hotties, Eric and Edward.

At another blogger's suggestion, I have changed my comment settings.

You can now comment in a pop-up window. You're welcome.

The Talk of Tinseltown
I Love Celebs

If you know me, you know I love celebrities. I love the gossip. I love the clothes. I love the drama. I love the Hollywood lifestyle. Do I believe everything I read? No. Do I still read it anyway? Yes.

I've decided to compile a weekly recap of what's happening in Tinseltown. With pictures! I'll put one together every Friday. If you enjoy this as much as I do, share it with your friends.

Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt broke up. People say he tried to extend his '15 minutes of fame' by being with her. I'm still waiting on her 15 minutes to be up!

Sarah Palin's mad at David Letterman over a joke he cracked about her teenage daughter. Letterman said an awkward moment occurred for Palin when, during the seventh inning of a Yankees game, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez. *snort*

Adam Lambert admits to being gay in this month's Rolling Stone. Wait! What? This guy is gay? I'm floored.

Madonna's adoption of a little girl from Malawi was approved today. It's too bad for the girl's dad. He still wants to keep her. I bet he could if he did Pilates and had a fake British accent.

Ashton Kutcher put his foot in his mouth when he Twittered about his disdain for signing autographs. He'd rather talk to his fans and have a moment with them. I forgive him, but only because he's hot.

Does anyone else want to be that toothpick right about now?

Bret Michaels was in the news on two separate occasions this week. Yes, hell has frozen over.

1. He had his nose broken when he 'missed his mark' at the Tony Awards.
2. He admits to holding off on taking his insulin so he can have better sex.

Way to be a better man, Brett.

Megan Fox does not want to be compared to Angelina Jolie. I feel for you, Megan. I really do.

Shia LaBeouf admits to smoking weed and seeing his parents have sex.

"The lights are bright in Hollywood, but only if they're on."
