If you don't read Dooce's blog, you're missing out on one of the best blogs ever. I want to share something from her latest entry. It struck me the second I read it. As we southern folk like to say, she hit the nail on the head.
"There is nothing in life that you can really compare to the pain of labor, NOTHING, so the "idea" of your threshold for pain is as useless as a piece of shit." -- Heather B. Armstrong

I will probably be shunned for this, but I don't read Dooce. I just don't love her.
Love it & couldn't agree more. I mean really. A man wants to compare how tough he is with me having a human being? Psh.. whatever!
So fricking true.
I say this to all my non parent people in my life.
A little dramatically I say..."Ohhh, YOU don't know PAIN. I know PAIN. Come talk to me after you've squirted out a baby you ass"
Whew...guess I needed to get that out :)
She annoys me because she's not Mormon and left the church and you know....we Mormons don't like that...lol
Yeah, my roommate's sister's best friend's cousin said that God talked to Rush Limbaugh directly and told him that we Mormons can't read Dooce.
I swear.
Actually, I do think she's a good writer. I just don't read her stuff very often. But I did enjoy this post, so thanks for sharing!
Popped in from SITS to say hi!
That's going to keep me from having babies for a long time...
I love her, too! Great blog name, stopped by from SITS
Not that I, as a man, will ever voluntarily elect to go through anything half as painful as childbirth, but I know I can personally think of hundreds of things are without a doubt more painful than giving birth. You know, in a general sense.
Believe it or not, I've never read her blog, but I am reading her book and it's awesome!
