I will never forget.

Many lives were lost on September 11, 2001. It's a day I'll never forget. I'd like to thank all of the police officers and firefighters who gave their lives to save people they didn't know. They do it every day without hesitation. As a firefighter wife, I am proud to call my husband a hero. He doesn't think he is one, but I do.

"When a man becomes a fireman, his greatest act of bravery has been accomplished. What he does after that is all in the line of work." -- Chief Edward F. Croker

Your husband is DEFINITELY a hero. Made more so by the fact that he doesn't think of himself that way!

I know there are a lot of issues in police and fire agencies, especially out here in California these days, but they are still heroes. They are the ones running in when everyone else is running out. And we can never repay them for what they do.

Your husband is most definitely a hero. Anyone who puts on that uniform is. Love you!
