I could totally handle that. Total silence and peace and sleeping in the bed by myself and eating whenever I want and reading....sorry, I didn't mean to intrude on your daydream, but, that sounds so nice.
I've rented one for the family beginning 12/26. We're hoping for snow, but even if it's not out the front door, we can take a short drive to the ski slopes. :) I'm hoping for snow out the front door though. ;)

hmmm I picture this not being as warm and cozy and more drafty and freezing. Oh and thanks for the birthday wishes!
Peaceful, But I'd go stir crazy all alone! Now, I'll take a handful of girlfriends and a load of new scrapbooking supplies and I'd be all set!
that looks beautiful but I would only love it for about a day. I don't do well with cold and snow!

Sounds just lovely!!
I'm not a fan of snow, but being holed up in a place like that with a big stack of books sounds HEAVENLY right about now.
Two years ago the husband and I went to Colorado and stayed in a log cabin in the mountains. It was the best, most relaxing vacation ever. EVER!

My in-laws have a cabin in Estes Park, CO. I think it's uninhabitable in the winter though.
oh wow. ME TOO. vacay needed ASAP.
have the cabin, but no snow.. Although, I would love to just get away with some wine and books. And no kids.
Sounds like a good dream to me!
But can I come too? And also, will there be WiFi?? : )
me too!
That would me nice! I can't wait til our honeymoon where we will be sitting inside a nice cabin in Gatlinburg with a hot tub!
Looks heavenly.
Can I come too?!
I grew up in a cabin that was constantly snowed in... it became less of a vacation and more like a character training camp or a trip to the 1850s.
But I hope *you* find a snug, warm little cabin that you can relax in this year. :-)
Forget about a week, I want to live there!
There are a few here In Kentucky...the snow's-a-comin'!
Ahhh I so agree!!!!! :D
I second that idea. I need an escape. :)
