I've been so busy the last couple of days. I don't see much free time coming my way. I don't even want to think about the things I've neglected at home. I need to take a few days off, have my MIL watch the kids and tackle a long list of chores. It can and will be done, eventually.
On another note, I turn 30 next week. Gasp!

Today's survey is brought to you by Judge Judy, Maury Povich and Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
Would you do crystal meth if it were legalized?
Have you ever seen someone with meth face? The answer is HELL NO!
Abortion, for or against?
I'm personally against it, but remain Pro Choice. I can't fathom telling another woman what she can and can't do with her body. I am a huge candidate of condoms and birth control. If you're old enough to have sex, you're old enough to keep yourself from getting pregnant. Period.
Do you believe in the death penalty?
Yes, but I don't think it's much of a deterrent these days.
Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
I think pot is pretty harmless, but legalizing marijuana promotes drug use. As a parent, I think this is the wrong message to send to kids.
Do you believe in God?
Do you think same-sex marriage should be legalized?
Yes. How can I believe in God and believe in gay marriage? A ban on gay marriage promotes inequality and hatred. As a Christian, I can't support that.
Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are moving to the USA?
I think any person who wants to live in America should be able to as long as there are checks and balances in place. One of those checks and balances -- learn English.
A 12-year-old girl has a baby. Should she keep it?
A 12-year-old girl shouldn't be having sex in the first place. I could go on about this one for days, but won't.
Should the legal drinking age be lowered to 18?
No. Most people think you should be able to drink at 18 because you can vote and go to war at 18. I think a better plan of action would be to raise the age requirement for those to 21. Problem solved.
Should the war in Iraq be called off?
I think Obama's plan of getting the troops out as soon as possible is the best way to go.
Assisted suicide is legal. Do you agree?
If the person dying is capable of signing a document stating they want to die, I totally agree.
Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes. I can count on one hand how many times I've done it though.
Would you burn the American flag for a million dollars?
In this economy? Probably so.
A mother is declared innocent after murdering her 5 children in a temporary insanity case. What do you think?
Was there something terribly wrong with her? Absolutely. However, there were warning signs. She knew something was wrong. More than likely, people around her knew something was wrong. Get help. Postpartum Depression is very real, but is not an excuse for murder. Remember, she killed all five of her children. That's not insanity. That's deliberation.
These are simply my opinions. Your opinions are welcome, but I'm not looking for an argument.

My mom offered to babysit on Friday night. I had plans with my girlfriends, but we weren't going out until almost ten, so I was able to have dinner with The Hero first. We went to Abuelo's. I had the Yucatan Barbecue Basted Shrimp Fajitas. The Hero had the Chile Manzanillo, which is crab stuffed in a poblano, covered with shrimp, scallops, mushrooms and lobster sauce. He had a few beers. I had a mango margarita.
The ladies and I attended a Twilight DVD Release Party at Borders Bookstore. We had a lot of fun even though Borders didn't have their act together. After standing around for an hour, we headed to Bennigan's for drinks. Regardless, it was a fun night.
On Saturday, I took the kids to a friend's house. The rest of the weekend was spent in front of the television. I watched a lot of basketball. I tried to watch Twilight unsuccessfully a few times. The Hero and I finally settled in around 9:00 last night to watch it. He suffered through without complaint. When it was over, he said, "What a chick flick!" I'm guessing he wasn't impressed with Edward's sparkles. He did ask questions about future films though. He wants to see Bella as a vampire. I didn't ruin any of it for him because I will make him watch all of them at some point.

I hear Ireland's beautiful. Irish accents certainly are. I don't like St. Patrick's Day though. Yes, I have Irish ancestors. What white person in America doesn't? I think St. Patrick's Day is an excuse to get drunk. If you own a kilt, you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day. If you have family still living in Ireland, you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day. If you have red hair and your last name is O'Malley, you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day. If you wear green and point it out to everyone, you're a loser. If you don't wear green in hopes of getting pinched, you're an even bigger loser.
To sum up, I'm not down on Ireland or Irish people. I'm down on losers.
How about some hot Irishmen to brighten your day?

I won't apologize for posting another pic of Rob from GQ Magazine. I may not be sixteen anymore, but I'd love to have this one made into a poster to hang above my bed. I'm sure The Hero would love that.
5 more days until Twilight comes out on DVD!
It's not easy to recap a boring weekend, but I'll try. After work on Friday, The Hero and I ran an errand with the kids in tow. It was his turn to bring breakfast, lunch and dinner to the fire station. We went to Sam's Club so he could buy steaks in bulk. (He needed ten.) After getting the steaks cut, we picked up Chick-fil-A for dinner. I went to Target to pick up baby formula and a gift for a friend's baby shower. I messed around online, watched tv and went to bed.
On Saturday, I was able to sleep in until 9. That's pretty much unheard of, so I was quite happy. I watched some basketball, uploaded pictures and went to bed after watching most of Saturday Night Live. Tracy Morgan was the host. Love him! The Hero came home from the station at 7 on Sunday morning. He changed and fed Little Bit and kept Little Man occupied. I didn't get out of bed until 11. It was glorious. We went to dinner as a family last night. We went to The American Cafe which is one of my favorite restaurants. We had the Spinach con Queso as our appetizer. The Hero had the Jambalaya Pot Pie. I had the Potato Cheese Soup. Little Man had pepperoni pizza. The food was, as it always is, delicious.
I went to bed around 11. I was still awake at 1:30. I slept on and off all night long. It's as though I never caught up on my sleep this weekend. Waking up tired every morning is taking its toll.
It's Monday morning. I had an Egg McMuffin and Regular iced coffee from McDonald's. Caffeine definitely helps.
Enjoy your week.

Do you remember Picture Pages with Bill Cosby? I loved that show!
Picture pages, picture pages
Time to get your picture pages,
Time to get your crayons and your pencils
Enough of that. It snowed on Saturday! We typically see snow once or twice a year. It usually melts within twenty-four hours, so we get a little excited when we see white powder.
