The Day My Baby Boy Started School

Today was Little Man's first day of school. He's in Junior Kindergarten since he missed the cutoff for "regular" Senior Kindergarten. He went for a half day today with some of the kids he'll be in class with. He starts going all day next Wednesday. There will be 21 students in his class. He'll have two teachers. He was very excited. I was brave and didn't cry. We'll see how I do next week when I have to leave him there all day.

I can't believe my baby boy is old enough to go to school.

He looks SO excited! Syd starts preschool. It's 3 days a week for 2.5 hours and I'm freaking. Kindergarten will be hard for me.

Cute pics! I have never heard of Junior and Senior kindergarten before - Hannah is so close to being eligible this year...but we have to wait until she is almost 6. Which is fine. She's got plenty of time to go to school. Hope next week goes well!! :)

My oldest just started Kindergarten too. I wish I could say I didn't cry, but in actuality I bawled like a friggin' baby. At least I held it together until I got to the parking lot. :)

Good luck next week!

I love how excited he is. At least, until that second to last picture. So cute!

My nephew starts kindergarten really soon. I don't know how the heck that happened.

Great pictures!

I'm so dreading next week when my son starts preschool. Where DID the time go?

The funny thing is, he'll probably be so into the school thing, he'll totally forget to miss his family. Isn't that what usually happens to little kids?

He looks adorable! Good luck Little Man!

he looks so happy in one picture, and so sad in another picture. But there was some schmegma on the floor in that one picture that I would be concerned about. I know I'm a germophobe, but it's the first day of school, people. Clean that crap up.

You can see the excitement on his face!!! Be strong momma! It's hard. I was a mess last year when my little man start K. He's a big 1st grader this year and I'm not much better. He starts this coming Friday, so I'm already trying to prepare myself. I think I would rather just scoop him up, take him home, make him some mac & cheese, and keep him with me forever.

Love the pics!

Awwwe, my baby boy will be starting pre-k this year and I just may cry like it's the end of the world. For some reason, it is harder with my baby than it was for my oldest (who will be going in the SECOND grade!)

PS: I LOVE how excited he looks until the end where he's probably thinking,"OK Mom, enough pictures, you can go now" Am I right?

We have that outfit...only in a smaller size for the little guy! :) He looks so happy to be going off to school. My little one started preschool a week ago, and I've yet to blog about it...soon though.
