House Tour
The Kids' Rooms

The kid's rooms, like all other rooms in the house, need pictures on the walls. We're working on it. I'll be sure to share before and after photos as things progress.

Little Bit's Room
• Her room will stay purple for now.
• I'm liking pink accessories with the purple.
• The rocking chair probably won't be in there for long.
• There's not a lot of 'things' in her room because she'll just drag them out or break them.
• I thought about going with a Dora the Explorer theme, but she'd probably be happier with iCarly.

Little Man's Room
• I want to paint his room a greyish color.
• I'd like to replace his twin bed with bunk beds.
• His dresser needs to be repaired. He confused the drawers for stairs.
• I want to put up corner shelves to showcase his Buzz and Woody dolls toys.

I'll be able to do a lot more when I get a job.

This whole not being made of money thing sucks.

When I was a little girl I would have killed for a purple room. Very cute.

I can make some stuff for their walls, like their names or something. ind some examples online or buy some letters to do their names.
I also have TONS of vinyl. Let me know if you want me to cut something for their walls.

Super cute rooms! I'm re-doing our boys' room this weekend. Going from the crib [mattress now on floor] and a twin mattress [on floor] to bunk beds. Yah. We're classy like that. my boys would be jealous of all the toys in the room - we make them keep toys out. You're a nice momma.

I love Little Bit's purple room!! And all of Little Man's Toy Story stuff. I think his room will be fantastic with bunk beds.

We plan to get bunk beds at some point as well..

iCarly would be awesome!!! That color purple is great. Target has some Toy Story wall decals for about $10 (we have SpongeBob) safe for the walls so you can take them down whenever.

why don't you just leave a sharpie out and let little bit create more art? ;)

for a grayish color....i (my husband) just painted our nursery Light French Gray from Behr. LOVE. it could be just the gray you're going for.

Yeah, I make a lot of wall art for my kiddos.

And we have that batman toy too. I'm pretty sure it's the only one that gets played with daily. :)

Seriously, if we could all be made of money, life would be fantastical.

I am digging the purple walls.

We have lived in our house for a whole year now and I still have rooms with nothing on the walls. I'm not good at the whole placing them on the wall and not looking stupid thing.

The purple walls are so royal! I love it!! And Little Man has some rockin taste with the Toy Story theme going on.
Now if only we could all go pick money off the trees in our backyards, we'd be set for life :)

I had a purple room growing up and LOVED it. When I was about 13 and away for a summer visiting my grandmother my mom hired an artist to come in and paint flowers and vines above the door frams and windows- I still miss that room to this very day.

LOVE love love the purple! I totally want to do a lavender nursery when I can talk the hubs into baby #2. It will be a girl of course. HA!

You're doing a great job, the walls will wait and, very soon, they will have some of their own art from school that they can display… I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you…

I'm putting in my vote for iCarly - you know how smitten I am. I love that shade of purple, it's great and she'll be able to grow with the room.

Gray in his room would be amazing! Ah boys and their climbing ways - secretly I want a little boy, but I know I'm only wishing a ton of "NO's AND GET DOWN FROM THERE'S" on myself.

Do what you can with what you can girl that's what I always say. *fingers crossed the employment tides change for you soon*

Cute little girl room - the purple looks very neat and the pink is a nice accent - teal would be another good one to accent the purple when she grows up too.

I think with the purple, she could probably keep the room how it is for a long time, as you can just accessorize it differently as she grows up =)

I love Little Bit's room. The purple and pink is so cute!

And I think bunk beds are a great idea. I've always thought boys' rooms should have bunk beds. I don't know why.

I think both rooms are adorable and they look really clean and less cluttered.
Why do kids think that any drawer is a stool???

I'm your newest follower!

I mean who would pass up following a blog that mentions two of my favorite things?? :)

When I was young my parents let my brother and I pick out our new carpet. Mine ended up being hot pink and my brother picked bright red. It was cool for about 3 years and then I hit 5th grade and was like "OMG I can't believe I have pink carpet". Hehe

Very cute ideas. I finally got a purple bedroom in my 20's!

I keep telling my husband I would be a lot happier if he didn't put any spending limits on me!!

I love the purple - so girly! I specifically didn't go with licensed characters in my girls' rooms because I didn't feel like changing everything once they moved on.

If you're going to paint the boy's room, I say go bold. Something in the blue-gray tone (perhaps a pewter instead of gray) would look good with his Toy Story themed room.

That's just my two cents worth :)

Our boys have the same toys...and bed spread...and the little shelf with the multi-colored bins (from Target).

iCarly would look adorable with the purple walls in your little girl's room! I LOVE iCarly!

I LOVE the color of Lil Bit's room. Aww does it make you sad that the rocking chair won't be there much longer?! She's not a baby anymore.
I love the little piggies, so cute.

Bunk beds in a little boys room is a must have. Think of the sleep over possibilities! Too fun.
