My dear friend Natalie, who appreciates my sarcasm more than most, sent me a link to the latest issue of Rolling Stone. It's just what the doctor ordered. I've been battling either a summer cold or a horrible sinus infection the last couple of days. I'm finally feeling like myself again. Vitamin C and a naked Alexander Skarsgard may have something to do with it.

I've got your cold right now! I love True Blood but we don't have HBO so I have to wait for the next season to come out on DVD. It is killing me! And, um, these pictures are hot!

I'm not a prude at all and I have no problem with the rolling stone cover BUT - chillins can see that shit in the store and it's a bit frightening for the young eyes, no?

It seems like the season just started! I can't believe there are only a few episodes left and I can't believe it's been so long since I've been able to drool over Ian Somerhalder... ahhhh vampires...

Wow, I don't consider myself a prude or anything either, but really? I was a die hard True Blood fan, until I think it started getting a little out of control. I read all the Sookie Stackhouse books and the books were not meant to create "shock value." I checked out this season, when it became way too much about sex. Why do all these shows think they have to have orgies in their story line to keep us interested? I love Mad Men and can appreciate the show without tons of sex, profanity, etc. I'm shocked by this cover...what else do we need to see to shock us? Wow, I'm speechless. Kori xoxo :-)

I'm with Blondie though and a lot of the readers of the books - the series didn't have nearly as much sex, profanity or "shock value" to them that the show has. Sure, there's usually at least one chapter that has some sex in it, descriptively told like a trashy romance novel, and there is the occasional profanity, but HBO really seems to just be including more and more just for the sake of pushing the envelope and because they can.
Kinda disappointing in that aspect, not to mention I'm kind of disappointed with just how loosely based this season is on the book - the first season was great, they stuck pretty close and added in stuff for the minor characters and added in the role of Jessica which I love (even the author admitted she wished she had thought to have a character like her in the books)... 2nd season they tweaked and changed things but it still worked with the story of the 2nd book... This season though... so much stuff they added that either doesn't happen or doesn't happen until later in the series... kinda annoying ><
I'm sorry, but I can't think of her without picturing the cute little 12 year old flying her geese south for the winter. Not naked, with two hotties, covered in blood. I feel incredibly old. And fat, but that doesn't have anything to do with her.
3 more episodes like forever? Or just for the season? If you say forever, I might actually start crying.

I have yet to see this show (though I've read the books and love them) but these three make me want to rent the DVDs asap. Because DAYUM. That is ONE sexy Rolling Stone cover ;)

Anyway, I like the cover of Rolling Stone except for Fugly Bill. LOL
can't wait for the last three episodes to air. that last scene with russell at the news station had me crackin up. he's amazing. i love VD. turns out they film the show not far from me. heard they are actually still filming. i plan to head down there next week to see of i can get pics of my baby, damon. take care.
