I wasn't going to do one of these year-end recaps since I'm supposed to be on bloggy hiatus, but I got to reading all of your posts and felt left out. Things You Should Know About Me If We're Gonna Be BFF

Two posts in one day? Yes, two posts in one day. Consider this an early Christmas present.
Little Miss Momma came up with this great idea for a post. After reading hers, I knew I had to join in.
If we're gonna be BFF, here's a few things you should know about me.

1. I'm hella impatient. I want what I want, and I want it right now.

2. If we go to the movies together, do not take your shoes off in the theater. It's gross. You're not at home!

3. If I'm down in the dumps, buy me some Hostess Orange Cupcakes.



4. If you don't like Elvis or Adam Sandler, I will doubt our friendship and ask that you seek professional help.

5. Don't tell me about the new "it" couple in Hollywood. I knew a week before you did.

6. I can relate everything you say to an episode of Friends.

7. I have been washing my face with Clearasil foaming face wash since I was a teenager.

8. If you try and share a recipe with me, I will laugh at you.

9. I think frivolous plastic surgery is dumb.

10. I can keep a secret.

My Favorite Christmas Carols

Even though I'm slightly obsessed with Christmas carols, I don't start listening to them until after Thanksgiving. I have a mix with over 40 songs. I add to it every year. I've got classics by Andy Williams and Bing Crosby. I have an entire collection of Elvis Christmas songs. {They're my favorite.} I have Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and a cheesy version of the Little Drummer Boy by Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. I've got songs from movies, songs you've never heard of and songs that will get you dancing around the Christmas tree even if you're not in the mood. Here are just a few of my absolute favorites.

My kids may appear to be spoiled, but they're really not.
I just like to go all out for Christmas.
We don't have a big family, so most of their gifts will be coming from us Santa.

My husband's holiday check, which consists of all his paid holidays for the year, allows us to have a great Christmas. Thank you, City of Memphis!

The Talk of Tinseltown; Those Gossip Girls

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were married on Saturday in a winter-themed wedding at Lionel Richie’s home in Beverly Hills. Nicole was walked down the aisle by her father. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Run. Guests included Khloe Kardashian, Gwen Stefani and Samantha Ronson. Notably absent was Richie's former BFF, Paris Hilton. {That's so not hot.}



Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are divorcing after two years of marriage. The two met on the set of Dexter where they play brother and sister. Speaking of Dexter, who watched the season finale? {OH. MY. GOD.} Anyway, I really liked these two together. This sucks.



Ryan Gosling is reportedly courting Blake Lively. Sources say the two have been on several dates, but aren't too serious about each other yet. No offense to Blake, but Ryan Gosling is supposed to end up with Rachel McAdams. Hasn't she seen The Notebook?



So, Miley Cyrus took a couple of hits from a bong at a party. People at the party videotaped it. Her people then tried to snatch up all of the computers with the video on it. Unfortunately, there were too many college students with a copy. Miley and her reps are denying it was weed in the bong. They say it was a legal substance called salvia. Does anyone else buy this load of garbage? Just go ahead and admit it. You were huffing the Mary Jane.



Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens broke up. I am not a fan of either so I don't really care. See? I couldn't even be bothered to post a good picture of them.



Reese Witherspoon, who is so freaking pretty it's ridiculous, recently spoke to reporters about Robert Pattinson. She said, "I'm not gonna lie. He's a very, very handsome man." Reese also said she and her 30-year-old friends love the Twilight series. This proves it. Reese and I would totally be besties if she lived nearby. She loves Twilight. I love Twilight. She's from Tennessee. I'm from Tennessee. She has flawless skin and an amazing wardrobe. She could buy me some face cream and let me borrow her shoes.



Taylor Momsen thinks masturbation is cool. "I’m a promoter of masturbation. Don’t sleep around -- learn yourself first! Guys do, but girls don’t. That’s why girls have so many bad experiences." I'm not against masturbation, but I am against this chick for being on my nerves.



Kim Kardashian reportedly went out with Halle Berry's ex, Gabriel Aubry, for a minute. Halle quickly put her foot down and said OH, NO SHE DIDN'T. Kim, out of either fear or respect, decided to back off.

The Talk of Tinseltown; Turning TV Shows into Movies

Johnny Depp has officially signed on to play Tonto in a movie adaptation of The Lone Ranger. Now they're looking for a leading man to play the title character. Johnny said, "There's so many interesting possibilities out there. Brad Pitt would be great. George Clooney would be great. Don't know who it's going to be just yet." I think Depp and Pitt would be fantastic together. Regardless of who they choose, I'll be seeing this movie.


Snoop Dogg says he's made an 'anthem for Prince William' after he was reportedly asked to perform for the newly engaged prince. "When I heard the royal family wanted to have me perform in celebration of Prince William’s marriage, I knew I had to give them a little something," the rapper said in a statement obtained by The Wall Street Journal. This has yet to be confirmed by the royal family, but if it's true... well, they'll definitely earn some street cred in my book.


Christina Aguilera told People mag that she's seeing Matthew Rutler, a set assistant from her new flick, Burlesque. "Once I filed for divorce, we started dating. I'm not trying to jump into anything. I'm taking it slow and trying to be happy." Someone should help Christina with the definition of 'taking it slow'.


Josh Duhamel was kicked off an airplane when he refused to turn off his phone. The flight attendant reportedly asked him three times. When he laughed in her face, she had the pilot turn the plane around which was already on the runway. Celebrities may be rich, but they aren't special. Turn off your damn phone, Josh!


Star is reporting Britney’s husband for two days, Jason Alexander, received a phone call from the pop star where she accused current boyfriend, Jason Trawick, of beating her. I won't post a link to the tape since it's a fake. Jason Alexander is obviously desperate for money and attention. Britney and her people quickly squashed the story. She took to her Twitter with the following message.

"Star Magazine, Radar Online, Jason Alexander and the rest of you liars, Ya'll can kiss my lily white southern Louisiana ass!"


Another tv show is being turned into a movie. This time it's 21 Jump Street which will star Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. I love Johnny Depp now, but I wasn't a fan back in the day. I've never seen a single episode of 21 Jump Street so I seriously doubt I'll watch this movie.
