An Axe commercial reminded me of Heath Ledger

I've been seeing this Axe commercial a lot lately. Every time I see it, I think about one of my favorite movies ever, 10 Things I Hate About You. The song from this commercial, Sexy Boy by Air, plays in the film when the party flyers are dropped down the stairs at school. In the Axe commercial below, they've mixed the song with Mozart. I quite like it.

Anyway, I ended up watching a few of my favorite clips from 10 Things I Hate About You this weekend. It still breaks my heart every time I see Heath Ledger. I fell in love with him after seeing this movie. It's one I can watch over and over again.

RIP Heath

I miss him too. He was way too young and just really getting to show his talent when he died. I adore 10 Things I Hate About You and it made me fall hard for Heath. I miss him so much. Thank you for this post girl - great choices! ox

He is definitely one that was gone too soon. I forget sometimes and then I'm sad all over again.

Way to make me sad! :(

I love Heath Ledger, I too fell in love with him from 10 Things - I hate that he was taken from us so soon.

My favorite Heath movie is A Knight's Tale, really all of them have immense rewatchability but that's my most favorite. :)

He was so good.
Also. You said, "I quite like it." You are British! Awesome. :)

I loved Heath Ledger and I still can't believe he's gone. I'll watch one of his movies and get all sad. Such a waste of a wonderful talent!

I totally noticed "sexy boy" playing the background of the axe commercial with the angels falling from heaven.

Heath was seriously talented...so sad about his early passing. The joker was such a memorable role!!!! (and freaky!)

I fell in love with Heath in this movie too. I think I know every line. I know the exact song and the flyer scene you're talking about. That movie is so great, and Heath is just plain amazing. Miss him. :-(

He was absolutely amazing in The Dark Knight! Such a tragic loss!

If 10 Things is on tv, there is no way I can't NOT watch it. Have you ever noticed how much Joseph Gordon-Leavitt looks and sounds like Heath now? Not so much in that movie, but recently. It's eerie.

I agree with you about 10 TIHAY. I love that movie. I still can't believe he died. Same with Brittany Murphy!

I always get sad when I see any of his movies. Did you ever watch The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus? I can barely get through it knowing he didn't get to finish.

That scene from The Dark Knight is seriously amazing. There was no question he deserved that Oscar. I'd had my doubts when he was cast as the Joker, but that performance made me realize that I never need to question Christopher Nolan. Ever. Even about Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

3D and 4D ultrasounds let a mother see a live video of their child moving in them, and if you are lucky enough, you may also get to see your baby sucking thumbs and playing with their toes. These images in turn create a bonding between mother and baby long before the birth of the baby.

I adored him in 10 Things I Hate About You. I only saw it because Save Ferris made a cameo and ended up loving it, to this day. It's a guilty pleasure flick, tinged with sadness now.
I never would have thought he could portray the Joker so damn well. Since Nicholson, Joker's been my all time favorite villain. He's got just the right amount of clown to be terrifying.
