What I Wore Wednesday; NKOTBSB

I went to see New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys with my girls last week. Before the concert, I had to shop for an outfit. Could I have worn something in my closet? Absolutely. Did I want to wear something in my closet? No. What’s the fun in that? So, I bought the shirt at one store, the shorts at another and the shoes from a third place. {Snap!}

Once the outfit was purchased, I had to work on my tan. I knew I was in danger of looking super pale in white shorts. I can say with certainty that I haven’t worn white shorts since high school. I was out of my comfort zone, but feel like I pulled off a tan at the last minute. Thank you, Mystic Tan!

I took the day off so I could rest and have plenty of time to get ready. These things are important. Am I right, ladies? Trying to get ready with two children in the house isn’t easy, but I managed to pull this off as well. I met up with the girls at the bestie’s house. Can you say carpool?

Before heading out, we had to take pictures. Lots and lots of pictures! The bestie’s bro was our photographer. I think he did a great job. Don’t you?

I never got to see New Kids on the Block when I was a kid. I’ve been making up for it big time as an adult. This was my second NKOTB concert in recent years. I was never a big Backstreet Boys fan, but pretty much knew all of the words to their songs too. We had an amazing time. All of the guys put on a great show. I sang. I danced. I screamed. I may have even drooled a little. Have you seen Donnie’s abs?!

We had excellent seats. I wish the pictures and videos had turned out better, but they were taken with my phone. Next time, I’m calling ahead to see if cameras are allowed. We assumed they wouldn’t be, but they were. Live and learn…

If NKOTB, BSB or NKOTBSB ever come to Memphis again, you can bet I’ll be there. And next time, we’re hitting up the Waffle House with the boys after the show.
