Amy Winehouse joins Club 27
Today, Amy Winehouse joins Club 27 members Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain. Club 27 is made up of influential musicians who died at the age of 27. Amy publicly struggled with drug and alcohol abuse although the cause of her death is currently under investigation. Regardless of the details, it's a sad day when someone dies at such a young age. It's especially sad when that person had so much to give to the world.

She had such a unique voice that it was hard to not be mesmerized by her. She will be missed, I just hope she has found the peace that she seemed so desperate to find.
It's always so hard when someone so young does...esp if it was preventable.

She was a North London girl like me, she had a huge talent and she was way too young....I really feel sad about Amy Winehouse. RIP.
I'm so sad that we all just watched her fall apart. Where were her friends and family? Regardless, she was super talented and gone way too soon! My favorite song is Back to Black.
I was so shocked to hear. I had no idea she was so young either. A lot of the photos I've seen of her she looks much older. You've posted some gorgeous ones of her though.

Very Sad! We have lost so many great singers at such a young age! Can you imagine what great music we would have from each one of these singers if they lived a long, full life?!?
That is just too bad and makes me really, sad.
Her voice sent chills down my spine and that's what an artist should give off. R.I.P. to her but we all knew it was coming eventually. I just heard about the 27 club yesterday!
That is absolutely my favorite Amy Winehouse song too. That's really sad that someone so young could have been so troubled.
