2011 Fall TV {New Shows}

We've established that I watch a lot of tv. Every year, I add new shows to my list. This year is no different. So far, I've only dumped two. I think I'll stick with the rest. Here's to hoping the ones I truly love don't get cancelled...

2 Broke Girls - It's not the funniest show I've ever seen, but I really like it. I've developed quite the crush on Max's character.

Whitney - If you watch Chelsea Lately, you're familiar with Whitney Cummings. I added her show simply because I love Chelsea. I liked the first two episodes, but started to lose interest in the third. I'm not giving up yet though. The guy who plays her boyfriend is hysterical. {Fun Fact: Whitney is co-creator of 2 Broke Girls.)

Up All Night - This sitcom stars Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph. I really wanted to like this show since it has such a great cast. After three episodes, I'm done. I feel like they're trying way too hard to be hip and funny.

Hart of Dixie - I added this show because I love Rachel Bilson. She's just so cute. Does anyone remember the movie Doc Hollywood with Michael J. Fox? This show is just like that. Bilson's character is a doctor from New York City who ends up practicing medicine in a small Alabama town. I hope enough people are watching because I love it.

Revenge - I didn't know anything about this show when I added it to my list. I added it because Emily VanVamp was on Brothers & Sisters. This show is a hot mess of drama. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds.

The Secret Circle - Since I love The Vampire Diaries, I figured I'd give this show about teenage witches a try. Both shows are based off a series of books by the same author. It's cheesy and good.

Ringer - Sarah Michelle Gellar plays twins. One's good. One's bad. Or maybe not. The Hero happened to be around when I watched the first one. Now, I can't watch it without him. We love it.

New Girl - I can't say enough about this one. Zooey Deschanel plays Jess, a lovable dork of a girl who moves in with three guys after her boyfriend cheats on her. This show brings the jokes. I pee from laughter every time I watch. If you're not watching New Girl, you're a loser.

Pan Am - Pan Am is getting rave reviews just not from me. I only watched one episode. I may have given up too soon, but I just wasn't interested enough to watch another. They introduced too many characters and stories, and most weren't that great. If you love this one, I'm sorry. I didn't.

Charlie's Angels - My opinion on this one is kind of meh. I don't love it. I don't hate it. I'm hanging tight since it is getting better each week. If it gets canned, I won't cry a river.

The X Factor - Last but not least, we have X Factor. I watched every single season of American Idol except for the last one. No Simon. No Paula. No thanks. Now, the duo is back with L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger. I seriously love this show. I give it two thumbs up. The only complaint I have is that I cry at least once every time I watch.

So, what new shows are you watching this year?

What do you love?

What do you hate?

Love The New Girl, hilairious! We just watched the first 2 episodes of Pan Am and I'm thinking it's okay, we'll see if it gets better. And Whitney - love it...so funny and random. :)

I haven't seen any of these. I may catch up on New Girl on Hulu though. I can't even keep up with the shows I'm watching now, let alone add any more. Thank goodness for the DVR!!

The New Girl is my favorite of all of those. I gave up on Ringer although I LOVE SMG! I am still watching Up All Night. Makes me laugh. :)

My husband and I thought the same thing about Up All Night. I was so disappointed. We, too, have stopped watching it.

I watch most of these too! I haven't heard of Hart of Dixie or the Secret Circle. Ringer and Revenge and Whitney are my FAVS! I hop that none of those get the ax. Two Broke Girls is also very funny!!

Great breakdown of the new shows! I'm still giving Up all night and Whitney a chance...time will tell if I keep with them. Saw 2 broke girls for the first time last night...ok but could be better!

I started watching 2 Broke Girls, New Girl, Whitney, Up All Night, Pan Am, Hart of Dixie and American Horror Story and so far I haven’t deleted any from my TiVo. But I’m behind in a few shows too, so who knows how long they’ll stay. I’m having a hard time keeping up! TOO MUCH GOOD TV!

I'm watching Hart of Dixie, but I can't decide if I like it, or if it's trying too hard.

I am obsessed with Hart of Dixie. Totally obsessed. Had to erase The New Girl though, sorry. It reminded me of a less-funny My Boys.

The only one of these I've actually watched so far is Up All Night, but Ive only seen one episode cuz Im behind!!! I too like the cast so thought I'd try it. I thought Whitney and New Girl looked good and I totally forgot to DVR the Ringer! I love SMG so I think it would be worth checking out! I have never watched the X Factor. Not sure, but I guess I just feel like I already watch so many of "those" kind of shows- Sing Off, American Idol, The Voice, etc. just didn't feel like another one. I actually LOVE Jennifer Lopez and Paula annoyed the hell outta me so I am happy with the change :) Thanks for the breakdown!

I am adding Hart of Dixie to my watch list. Since we just moved to the South (first time for my dr hubs) we are kinda living this one ourselves.

LOVE Up All Night and New Girl - my favorites so far! Been watching 2 Broke Girls, but I haven't made up my mind yet - I don't hate it, but I don't LOVE it either. It's just entertaining I guess which is why I keep watching, lol...

I heard Charlie's Angels already got canceled.

There are far too many good news shows on tv this season! I love New Girl, Hart of Dixie and Charlie's Angels!

New Girl is genius! It is quirky and delightful. And per your suggestion I watched the latest episode of Hart of Dixie last night and fell in love. Rachel Bilson is refreshing.

I'm so sad that New Girl won't be back until November. Lame.

I watched Ringer last night for the first time since the premiere and it has gotten better. Better enough that I might watch more. I had to rewind the ending just to make sure I caught what happened.

I just heard on the radio today that NEW GIRL is being delayed until Novemember. They want to give X Factor more time (New girls timeslot). So do worry......sounds like a full season of shows will start back up in November.
I Like 2 broke girls! Pretty Funny and Cute!

I'm not liking Whitney....something about her really turns me off. IDK?

I would like to watch Ringer.....not sure when its on?

Loving up all night!! I still have Charlie's angels on my dvr. I tried 10 mins of it and thought it was boring. Maybe because I was tired? Not sure. I will try to watch it again before deleting it off dvr.

And looks like I am missing a lot of great shows on CW. I don't know why I never watch that channel!

Paula had some serious photoshop in that photo.. sheesh!
Also, I miss tv. Like a real lot! And my internet connections sucks, so I can't catch up on jack. Eff me.
