Personally, I think if everyone else is doing it, the weirder the better...

In case you didn't know, I have a full-time job outside of the home. I can't use the internet to blog at work. {For shame!}All of these things aside, my blog is an outlet. It’s a place where I can vent, laugh, tell a story, get feedback, and share the love with others. I’m thankful for this place. I’m thankful for the friendships. I’m thankful for everything I have here. Just know that even though we might be on a break, I’m never too far away.
Even though we have two computers at home, I can never seem to get on one. The Hero is usually on the laptop while Little Man plays games on the desktop. When I can finally steal one of them away, I’m too tired to bother.
I have a house to keep up. Unfortunately, magic and sparkles do not keep our house clean and the laundry put away.
I have tv shows to watch and books to read. Every night, once the kids areasleepin bed, I relax with a show or book. I make sure I get me time every day even if it’s only 30 minutes.
It’s hard to be cheerful and funny when all you really want to do is break stuff and scream obscenities because certain things in your life are frustrating and out of your control.

1. Read 30 books. (7/30)
I read two more books bringing my total to seven.
The Help, Kathryn Stockett - 4 out of 5 stars
Switched, Amanda Hocking - 4 out of 5 stars
If you'd like to keep up with what I'm reading, you can follow me at Goodreads.

2. See 8 movies in the theater. (2/8)
On Friday night, The Hero and I talked my mom into babysitting so we could go to the movies. I picked Scream 4. I don't particularly care for gory movies, but I can handle suspense. Besides, these movies are over-the-top cheesy. If you've seen one Scream, you've seen them all. It's the same story again and again with new people to kill. I laughed. I covered my eyes. I yelled at the actresses on tv. "Why are you running up the stairs, you dumb bitch?" It wasn't spectacular, but it was exactly what I expected.
I also really really really want Courteney Cox and David Arquette to get back together. He's her lobster.
5. Go to the gym at least 3 days a week.
I guess it's as good a time as any to let you know this hasn't been happening. Like, not at all... #fail
6. Keep an exercise log.
I've been a lazy bum for weeks and weeks. I had a moment over the weekend when I realized I needed to get off my ass. Today marks Day 1 of the 30-Day Shred. I plan on keeping a log which will include what I eat and the exercises I complete. Wish me luck!
7. Be bikini ready byMay 1June 1.
I've pushed this back because May 1 isn't feasible. I don't need to lose weight, but I do need to trim and tone. If I watch what I eat and exercise, this can and will happen. If it doesn't, I'll just change it to July. (Duh.}
19. Watch 20 movies from my Netflix queue. 2/20
I have been slacking on my at-home movie watching because I have so many tv shows to watch. This should pick up when my shows are on summer hiatus. So far, I've only watched two. I give both of these two thumbs up.

43. Take more pictures.
I'm definitely winning at this one. I've taken a ton of pictures with my camera and iPhone.
45. Tear out everything in my flower beds and plant new stuff in the spring.
I wanted to do this. I asked my husband to help me. I asked his fellow firefighter and buddy to help me. No one helped me. The ugly bushes and shrubs are still there. I guess we could still pull them up, but it would have been easier in the winter when they were mostly dead. #fail
