Our Little Secret

Generally, The Hero and I don't photograph well together.

So, this, is a rare glimpse of Mr. and Mrs. Hotpants™.

I'm fairly certain he doesn't read my blog, so he'll never know I called him Mr. Hotpants™.

It'll be our little secret.

The Talk of Tinseltown
Box Office Gold

Tori Spelling, who just gave birth five months ago, is pregnant again. This will be her fourth child with hubby Dean McDermott. Those two crazy kids just can't stop doing it.

Kim Kardashian was recently on the receiving end of a flour bomb when a random woman tossed a plastic bag of white powder on her as she walked the red carpet of a charity event. Kim has now decided to press charges. Yes, the woman was out of line, but is it really worth the money and time of those involved to press charges? No, it's just one more way for Kim to be in the news. Barf.

Rihanna and Ashton Kutcher may be hooking up. The two were reportedly introduced a few months back at a mutual friend's party. They swapped numbers, flirted for weeks and recently may have gotten together at a hotel. What do you think of this possible pairing?

Hilary Duff and her hockey hubby welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday. They named him Luca Cruz. Yet another baby name that I care nothing about...

On Saturday, Miley Cyrus attended a celebrity event with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. A sparkling diamond could be seen on her ring finger. Rumors are swirling, but the stars have neither confirmed or denied an engagement.

The Hunger Games earned approximately $155 million in North America over the weekend making it the third highest opening weekend of all time. Only The Dark Knight and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 had bigger openings giving The Hunger Games the highest non-sequel weekend premiere ever. If you missed my review, you can read about it here.

The Hunger Games is even better
the second time.

I saw The Hunger Games not once, but twice this weekend. I went to the midnight premiere with the girls then dragged The Hero to see it on Saturday. The Hero said, "That was a f***ing good movie! I can't even put into words how much I loved it. I went in with high expectations and did not leave disappointed. First off, I'd like to thank the casting director for picking the best possible cast. I had my doubts early on, especially with Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, but I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.

Every single actor was perfect for their role. Just like the book, Peeta grew on me with every scene until I fell madly in love with him. Jennifer Lawrence nailed Katniss. She was fierce, humble and caring. Don't even get me started on the girl who played sweet, precious Rue. I laughed. I cried. I held my breath. I certainly can't go without mentioning Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Donald Sutherland, and Liam Hemsworth. They were all so phenomenal.

Anytime one of your favorite books is turned into a movie, you have to accept that they'll make changes. For the most part, I was able to look past a few small discrepancies. I know they can't squeeze every detail in, but the scene where Haymitch falls off the stage at the reaping should have been included. This drunken mishap was televised for all to see. Katniss and Peeta talked about it several times. For me, it was a laugh out loud moment. Other than this scene being left out, I have no major complaints.

Along with my love of the impeccable cast, I was also extremely pleased with the design of The Capitol. It's like they pulled the images right out of my brain. The buildings, the people, the clothes, the food, and the training facility were all brought to life exactly as I pictured them. Ultimately, by the end of the movie, I could only think of one thing.

How soon until Catching Fire?

November 2013, people.

What's in my makeup bag

I have a lot of makeup. Obviously, I change things up when I'm in the mood or going out for a night on the town, but the following items are what I use most days.

This is my first tube of this foundation. I seriously love it. It goes on light, gives me full coverage, doesn't make my skin oily or shiny, and the color is perfect.

I have dark under eye circles, so I'm always looking for a great concealer. I think I've finally found my favorite combo. I put the Erase Paste on first then put a light layer of Boi-ing on top.

For years, I've been wearing mascara only on my top lashes. Recently, I've been pairing these two together. I put Lash Stiletto on first. I quickly put the Falsies on top before the first coat dries. The first coat lengthens and separates. The second coat thickens.

I never spend a lot of money on blushes or eye shadows. Both of these work perfectly for every day wear.

I got this bronzer for free with my last Sephora order. As soon as it's gone, I'll be buying more. I love love love the color and how smoothly it goes on. After this blogger raved about her love of Baby Lips, I ran out and bought some. Two days in and I'm a happy girl. I can't wait to buy several more in different colors.

I'm very happy with this affordable brush set I got around Christmastime.

Any Given Sunday

Home -- Right now, I'm in bed with my laptop. I've been watching DVRed shows all day. I watched Hart of Dixie, Ringer, Southland, and Being Human. Little Man and The Hero are playing Xbox together on the couch while Little Bit naps beside them. It's way too late for her to be napping, but no one wants to wake her up.

Work -- I recently trained my replacement. I'm not leaving, but I did change positions. Unfortunately, it wasn't a promotion, but I'm happy nonetheless. I think I'm going to enjoy doing something different.

Health -- Little Man went to the doctor yesterday. The diagnosis was a double ear infection. Allergy season is officially here. We're all battling the sniffles, coughs and general feeling of yuckiness. Thanks to Claritin, Robitussin and a round of antibiotics, we're finally on the mend.

Plans -- I'm about to give myself a mini mani and pedi, watch Once Upon a Time and finish the fourth book in the My Blood Approves series.

Pics -- I can't tell you the last time I took a picture with my camera. I use the one on my iPhone every single day though. Here are a few shots from the last couple of weeks.
