Mani Monday; Dream On

Today, I'm linking up with two blogs I discovered over the weekend. The lovely ladies from Glitter and Gloss and Just Love.ly Things have started Mani Monday for those of us who love prettying up our nails.

As you may recall, I've finally kicked the nasty habit of biting my nails. If you'd seen my nails a week ago, they had gotten quite long. I ended up trimming them down after several broke. I'll be trying a few products out over the next couple of weeks to get them healthy and strong. If you have any tips and/or recommendations, be sure to let me know.

Today, they're painted a bright pinkish-purple. Even with expensive Essie polish, my nails take a beating and need to be painted every two or three days. I don't mind though. I'm having a lot of fun changing them up. When they grow out a little more, I'll be sure to share some of the fun things I've been doing with them. Today, I'm boring. There's no glitter, dots or stripes. I hope you'll check out Mani Monday. There's a ton of great tips, colors and ideas if you're tired of your standard solid nail polish.

Not boring, pretty!! I love the Sally Hansen nail growth miracle serum, and I especially love that it's less than $4!

Thanks so much for linking up with Mani Monday!

Congrats on kicking the habit! It took me forever. It wasn't until I was a manicurist full time that I stopped.

If you're looking for something to help strengthen your nails go to Sally's or even Walgreens and look for Nailtiques polish. It's a clear polish that comes in three forumlas. You will probably need 2 for strengthening nails. You can use it as a base coat - or wear it alone. But it's amazing. I need to go get myself some my nails have been breaking a lot.

Another tip - carry an emery board in your purse, in case you get a break or snag you can file it down and won't be tempted to chew. :)

I need to get a good top coat/strengthener too. I used to bite my nails REALLY bad. I've grown out of it but still tend to nip off any breaks or cracks. Keeping them painted helps alot with letting them grow.

Thanks for stopping by!
