October 30, 2012

Election Day 2012 is exactly one week away.

I only want to say one thing.

Educate yourself and vote.

Don't vote for the guy you think is better looking.

Don't vote for the guy your significant other or parents are voting for.

Don't vote for the guy with the bigger flag pin.

If you are old enough to vote, you are old enough to make up your own mind.

Educate yourself and vote for who you think will do the best job for our country, for the people and you.

I early voted on Saturday.

A-MEN. Nothing bothers me more than people who vote just because they think they need to be Democrats or Republicans. Your views and your vote are supposed to sort you into a party - your party is not meant to determine how you vote.

Two most important words here are EDUCATE YOURSELF!

My hubby and I sat down and researched all of the measures, props and candidates last week and voted by mail. I'm so glad he also takes it seriously. I wish people were as into voting as they are into the world series.

Great post!!! Our state has some important stuff on the ballot this election. I'm pumped up! I've never actually been to the polls. I had to absentee vote when I went away to college and by the time I came back our state had changed to vote by mail. I'm bummed I missed out. I can get a sticker though if I drop them off at the auditor's office.

I've missed reading you! I'm such a lazy blogger lately.

I love this post. For a person like me who sits on the fence (I call myself a Democratic Republican which is like an oxymoron, right?) I think it's important to educate myself. And not by surfing fb! Gah! Those political people will say and post whatever before checking to see if it's true or not!

Great pic of you my friend!

Yes. Educate yourself and vote for the Republican for fucks sake!

Great post! American politics are interesting/complicated AND you only have 2 political parties to choose from! ( that would be so hard because there is so little choice!). However early voting is a great idea!
PS. Internationally speaking, in my experience, the world pretty much thinks that Obama is amazing!

Well stated! I am still waiting for my info for my voter registration card. I will be calling/stopping by the office on Monday if I haven't gotten one and demanding SOMETHING be given to me for voting.

** I was registered in MD years ago, but I voted in the last election but for the life of me can't figure out why my name isn't showing up on the list here locally again. BLERG!
