Mani Monday; Dream On

Today, I'm linking up with two blogs I discovered over the weekend. The lovely ladies from Glitter and Gloss and Just Love.ly Things have started Mani Monday for those of us who love prettying up our nails.


As you may recall, I've finally kicked the nasty habit of biting my nails. If you'd seen my nails a week ago, they had gotten quite long. I ended up trimming them down after several broke. I'll be trying a few products out over the next couple of weeks to get them healthy and strong. If you have any tips and/or recommendations, be sure to let me know.

Today, they're painted a bright pinkish-purple. Even with expensive Essie polish, my nails take a beating and need to be painted every two or three days. I don't mind though. I'm having a lot of fun changing them up. When they grow out a little more, I'll be sure to share some of the fun things I've been doing with them. Today, I'm boring. Happy Anniversary, William & Catherine!

It's been one year since Kate Middleton married her prince. I haven't really kept up with what William and Catherine have been doing, but I have been keeping up with her wardrobe. I have an entire board dedicated to her amazing style on Pinterest. I thought I'd celebrate their anniversary with some images from their fairy tale wedding as well as a few of my favorite shots of them from the past year.

Celebrity Quotes; Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy recently sat down with Parade magazine. She told the mag she has a six month rule when it comes to dating. In the ten years since her divorce, her son has only met two men. "I don't introduce my son to anybody unless someone makes it six months."









I think this is a great rule to have, especially if you know a relationship isn't going anywhere.

Kids don't need to meet booty calls or flings.

They need to meet the real men who are going to stay and be in it for the long haul.

What I Wore Wednesday; Elevator Fashion

Lately, I've been taking iPhone pics of my outfits in the elevator of my office building. I usually take them after lunch which is why you'll see me with sunglasses on my head and a drink in my hand.

Things I feel I should point out...
1. The elevator mirror apparently makes my boobs look bigger than they really are.
2. I really should start doing something different with my hair.
3. I need to change my purse out more.
4. I have a slight addiction to sweet tea from Sonic.

2012 Project 52; I met a blogger!

There were a few items on last year's Project 52 list that made it onto this year's list because I was determined to accomplish them. Number fifty-one on this year's list was to meet a blog friend. Ladies and gentleman, this finally happened last week. The lovely Christina from Christina's Pop Life came through Memphis on a crazy, whirlwind trip with her sister and childhood friend. While in Memphis, before hitting up Graceland and Beale Street, Christina met Terri and I for lunch at Memphis' best burger joint, Huey's. I was super excited to meet Christina because she is one of my favorite bloggers. {I'm not just saying this because she'll be reading either.}

Christina and I have so much in common. She's a wife and mother of two. She loves celebrities and pop culture. To be more specific, she loves Britney Spears, vampires and Elvis. You can see why we'd be friends, right? We also watch all of the same tv shows. Seriously, she's awesome. If you aren't reading her blog, you're missing out. We've gotten to know each other pretty well through blogging, so when she mentioned a trip to Memphis I knew I had to meet her. Terri and Christina also read each other's blogs, so it was perfect that the three of us could sit down together. We talked about the lovely spring weather, air conditioning, how some parts of Memphis are really ghetto and others are not, boyfriends, husbands, kids, sports, and food. Christina is a total sweetheart. Hopefully Terri and I didn't seem too crazy. You get the two of us together talking and, well, it can probably be a little... IN YO FACE! I mean that in the sincerest way because we are really freaking awesome. We had a great time meeting Christina. The conversation was easy and fun. It was like we were chatting with an old friend. I hereby declare this blog meetup 100% successful!
