Sponsor Love & Celebrity BFFs

When I first decided to incorporate sponsors on my blog, I knew I didn't want to bore my readers with posts full of fluff. If I'm being honest, I tend to skip over sponsor posts if there's nothing there that interests me. So, to keep things interesting, I asked two of my sponsors the same question.

If you could be BFF with any celebrity, who would you choose and why?

Miranda Lambert
Girlfriend is gorgeous and doesn't feel the need to conform herself into anything other than what she really is. She is strong, determined, funny, and has one hell of a voice. She likes to hunt, drink adult bevies, save animals, shop...
What more could I ask for in a BFF???

Not only is she super cute with great style, she's an awesome mom and well, that wins my heart. She seems so down to earth, and she's always viewed in a positive light. She is totally my kind of girl... country by day, but can turn on city by night.

And, of course, we all know who my celebrity BFF would be.
It's Britney, bitch.

So, who would your celebrity BFF be?

The Twilight Saga, Final Thoughts

Four years after Twilight premiered, the saga ended with Breaking Dawn Part 2. Obviously, I'm a huge fan of the series, both the books and movies. With each film, I fell a little more in love. This last one was no exception. I always went in with high expectations. Sometimes I was happy. Sometimes I was disappointed. With this one, I set the bar exceedingly high. As a die hard Twilight fan, I don't know that I could be any happier with the finale. They did the fans, the characters and the books justice. The only way I know how to describe it... It was just so so so good. And it's even better the second time around.

Before seeing the movie, I saw Stephenie Meyer on Jimmy Kimmel Live. She said the end of the movie would be different than the book. She said they added a twist, but was certain the fans wouldn't be upset. I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but OH MY GOD! To explain the reaction of this twist in a packed theater is almost indescribable. I was clawing my chair, biting my nails and shaking my head. I glanced at my friends to see their expressions. There were audible gasps and cheers. There was clapping and yelling. She was right. The fans weren't mad. The twist was brilliant.

Like past years, I attended the movie on opening night with my best girls. Once again, we wore matching shirts created by Olivia from Gnome Sweet Gnome. {Olivia, you rock!} We may have started with one group of girls and ended with another, but our tradition held strong. The last four years have been a blast. Now, if Stephenie Meyer would just write another book so we can do it all over again.

Ten on Tuesday

I have a million and one things I'd like to blog about, but can't find the time. Today, you get a mash up.

1. I've been sick for over a week now. It was sinus junk that turned into bronchitis junk. I'm still coughing, but have finally gotten back to my normal routine.

2. I put up my Christmas tree and decorations the week before Thanksgiving. I've also been listening to Christmas carols like a boss.

3. As much as I love Christmas, I haven't bought a single gift.

4. I've seen Breaking Dawn Part 2 twice. {A review with pictures is coming soon.}

5. A great gal is working on a new design for my blog. Yay!

6. I've still been working a lot of overtime. I'm going in early, staying late and bringing work home almost every single day. My bank account will thank me later, but I'm getting tired of it.

7. I have at least three episodes of every show I watch on my DVR except for Homeland and Dexter. Those get watched immediately.

8. Lately, I'd rather curl up with a cup of coffee and a book than watch tv anyway.

9. I really need to take my SUV in for an oil change. Like, really bad...

10. When I'm not at work, you can find me in hoodies, leggings and off-brand Uggs. #noshame

The Talk of Tinseltown; Death & Taxes

During the filming of Scary Movie 5, Lindsay Lohan opened up to Charlie Sheen about her financial troubles. She told him she owed the IRS a substantial amount in back taxes. In recent weeks, Charlie sent Lindsay's financial manager a $100,000 check to help get the government off her back. That Charlie Sheen is one heck of a guy!

Taylor Swift has once again bounced back with a new man. Now, she's dating Harry Styles from One Direction. She's already looking at houses in his neighborhood. Has the girl not learned anything? She bought a house across the street from her last boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, and I think they broke up less than a month later. I'm all for love and happiness, but when you're young... IT'S OK TO TAKE THINGS SLOW!

Billy Ray Cyrus is planning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his hit "Achy Breaky Heart" by releasing a revamped version. I wonder if he'll bring the extra long mullet back too?

Larry Hagman, best known for his role as J.R. Ewing on Dallas, passed away this weekend at the age of 81. I always thought Mr. Hagman was one cool, bad ass old dude. His costar Patrick Duffy said, "He was a fighter in the gentlest way, against his obstacles and for his friends. I wear his friendship with honor."

Halle Berry's baby daddy and fiance got into a huge brawl on Thanksgiving Day. Her ex Gabriel Aubry was arrested, and she's currently seeking a permanent restraining order against him. Both men went to the ER with injuries. Halle's had some serious bad luck with men. Maybe she can finally get her happy ending with Oliver Martinez.

Sexy Saturday

Channing Tatum was voted People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2012. If you've seen him dance in his sweats, this comes as no surprise. Before Magic Mike, I didn't get the fascination. I thought Channing was cute-ish with a great body, but he never really did anything for me. That is, until this happened. I am a woman after all.

Many other hotties were featured in this year's issue. Here's a sampling. Did any of your favorites make the list?

Clockwise - Bradley Cooper, Max Greenfield, Don Cheadle, David Beckham

Adam Levine, Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth, Richard Gere

Neil Patrick Harris, Seth Meyers, Robert Downey Jr., Michael C. Hall

Kellan Lutz, Josh Hutcherson, Matt Bomer, Ben Affleck

Blake Shelton, Oscar Pistorius, Damian Lewis, Denzel Washington

I don't know if Sexy Saturday will continue to be a weekly thing, but I certainly like the thought of it. Who doesn't love a little sexy on Saturday? Or maybe you stayed off the net all weekend and you're seeing this on Monday... Even better! What do you think? I like it. I love it. I want some more of it.

Black & Blue Friday

I won't be setting foot in a single store this Black Friday because

1. I'm working.
2. That shit cray.

Seriously, what possesses people to do this? I get that there are some incredible deals, but unless an entire bedroom suit is less than $300, Kid Rock will be there signing autographs and there's free Hostess orange cupcakes, you can count me out every single time. You couldn't pay me to set my alarm to shop alongside people throwin' bows. In Memphis, we have this neighborhood called Frayser. It's where I grew up. Needless to say, I'd have to get Frayser on some folks. Translation: break out the white trash. Believe me, we all have an inner white trash girl just dying to get out from time to time. For me, she's rarely seen or heard, but if you cut me off in traffic or shove me in a store, IT'S ON! One of these days, she might get me arrested.

So, if you shop on Black Friday, what the hell do you buy?

Happy Needless Turkey Murder Day

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the husband's family last Sunday. We're celebrating with my family this Sunday. So today, on the actual holiday, I am recuperating in bed watching a marathon of Friends Thanksgiving episodes. I went to the doctor yesterday. I got a shot and two prescriptions. I still don't feel like myself, but I should soon.

"You can't have Thanksgiving without turkey.
That's like Fourth of July without apple pie, or Friday with no two pizzas."

Riding at night cause I sleep all day

I have a thousand and one things to blog about, including Breaking Dawn Part 2, but I'm feeling a bit under the weather. It's been a while since I've been sick, so this virus is seriously kicking my ass. You know you're sick when you've been in bed by 9 three nights in a row. You also know you're sick when your boyfriend's cd came out and you haven't listened to a single song. Tomorrow, Mr. Rock gets my full attention even if nothing else does.

rock 'n' roll, y'all.

Twilight Stars: Then & Now

Let's take a look at our favorite Twilighters, then and now. On the left, we have the stars at the first Twilight premiere back in 2008. On the right, we have them at Monday night's Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere. The girl's looks have definitely changed the most. Hair, makeup and gowns have vastly improved. Boy oh boy, didn't Taylor Lautner grow up before our very eyes? And if I'm being honest, I prefer Rob with shorter hair.

Books & Beckham

I recently finished reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. It was highly recommended by many of you. It started off a little slow, but didn't take long for things to get KUH-RAY-ZAY! There were twists. There were turns. There were several WTF moments. Then, the ending happened. And I was all like HUH?! REALLY?! I don't want every book I read to have a typical cookie-cutter ending, but I don't want to be pissed off when it's over either.

I'll be reading Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick next. It's the fourth and final book in the Hush, Hush series. I loved the first three and can't wait to see how things end for Nora and Patch. I hope I'm not pissed when this one's over. You better believe Misty will throw things. Did you know I like to throw things when I'm mad? Well, I do.

David Beckham is hawt. The end.
