Today is November 13. I guess it's as good a time as any to recap our busy October. There was soccer, football, homecoming, preschool open house, birthday shenanigans, and Halloween. Let's get started, shall we?
Rory scored an average of four to five goals per game this season. At four, she's already become quite the soccer player. Her preschool had open house. She's in the Funny Frogs class. Next year, this big girl will be in kindergarten.
We love Halloween around here. I decorated the house the first weekend of October. Some people think candy corn is gross. This family of four would completely disagree. And, as you can see, Hocus Pocus is a must this time of year.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our boys and girls in blue rocked it out in pink. Dain had his first Homecoming. I made homecoming mums for the women in our family and escorted him onto the field.
There was popsicles at Nana's, a faux hawk haircut, visits from the tooth fairy, and outdoor fun with yummy cupcakes.
This cute kid turned eight. We bought football cupcakes for his class, ate lunch with him at school and had some fun at Chuck E. Cheese's. Seriously, how adorable is that toothless grin?
Dain plays on two football teams this year, junior varsity and varsity. The junior varsity boys had their championship game. As you can see by the medal around his neck, they won! The varsity championship is in two weeks. GO TIGERS!
This year's Halloween fun included a fall festival and trick-or-treating with friends and family. Dain was Chop Chop, a video game character from Skylanders. And Rory was the cutest Bat Girl you ever did see.
Last but not least, Terri and I celebrated with our best girl Jillian for her birthday. There was yummy food, cake, presents, balloons, and a trip to a local haunted house. I screamed a lot, but didn't piss my pants. I'd call that a success.
*After scheduling this post, I realized I already covered some of this back in October.
It's ok. I put a totally different spin on it this time.
