What does your birthday say about you?

Some people are extremely interested in their zodiac sign and check their horoscope daily. I've certainly read a thing or two about being an Aries over the years, but if I'm being honest, it's not something I really care about. When I was recently given the opportunity to check out The Secret Language, I was a little skeptical.

Unlike a horoscope, The Secret Language doesn't rely on the stars at all. The personality traits of more than 20,000 people were studied over a 40-year period. This information was then organized by birthday. When you enter your date of birth on the website, you are given an overview of your personality traits based on the day you were born, the week you were born, the month you were born, and the season you were born.

My Birthday: April 9, 1979

Let's start with what the site got right.

•one of a kind
•strong-minded
•not overly social
•has a strong realistic streak
•carries a childlike air about them
•prone to fantasy & wishful thinking
•put off by highly serious attitudes & has little patience for those with negative orientations

Here are a few traits I completely disagree with.

•misleading
•destructive
•a loner by nature
•acts amorally & neglects the feelings of others
•may attract antagonism, even violence, from others
•must be very careful of literally destroying themselves & others with their energy
•falls in love with their own ideas, projects and even, in extreme cases, with themselves

I couldn't help but laugh at the one that says my energy could literally destroy myself and others. And I definitely love myself, but only because I'm secure with who I am, not because I'm a conceited bitch. Overall, I'd have to say that about 50% percent of the personality traits fit me. The other 50% match someone else with my date of birth.

You all know how much I love celebrities, so it should come as no surprise that my favorite part was finding out which famous people I share a birthday with.

Whether you put a lot of faith in this stuff or not, it's a lot of fun and worth checking out. To discover your own Secret Language Name and learn more about who you really are, visit The Secret Language here.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

Love it. I did mine and just skimmed it (will go back and read more in detail later), but from what I've read it is pretty dead on haha

Thank you very much for the link.

I think mine was pretty accurate! One of my traits was 'scrappy' which is probably the one word I use most often to describe myself.
