On Wednesdays, we wear pink.

Ten years ago today, Mean Girls was released. It became an instant cult classic and one of the most successful movies about high school. The movie is actually more popular now than when it first came out. Thanks to the internet, a new generation knows all about the Plastics, wearing pink on Wednesdays and that some guy named Glen Coco is mysteriously popular. You go, Glen Coco.

The movie was based on the 2002 self-help book "Queen Bees and Wannabees" by Rosalind Wiseman. Tina Fey wrote the screenplay and co-starred as one of the high school's teachers, alongside fellow SNL castmates Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer and Tim Meadows.

Fun Facts:

The original title for the movie was supposed to be Homeschooled.

Lindsay Lohan was originally cast as Regina George.
After her success in the movie Freaky Friday, they switched her to the nicer role of Cady Heron.

Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried were neck and neck for the role of Regina George.

Lacey Chabert was the first and only choice for the role of Gretchen Wieners.

Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams play characters who are the same age
even though there's an 8-year age difference between the actresses.

Amy Poehler is only 7 years older than movie daughter Rachel McAdams.

The very first scene filmed was the part where Kevin G. hands Cady his card.

Lindsay Lohan missed the first day of filming because she had pink eye. Boo, you whore.

Damian's character is based off of Damian Holbrook, Tina Fey's best friend in high school.

Even though David Reale isn't credited in the movie, he's the actor who plays Glen Coco.

It's no surprise that Mean Girls was such a huge hit.

Do you love it?

Tell me you love it.

Did you wear pink today?

I did!

The Talk of Tinseltown
Clooney's Engaged

After many years of being Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, it appears George Clooney may finally be getting married again. Clooney reportedly proposed to girlfriend of less than a year, Amal Alamuddin. Amal, 36, is a lawyer and activist who is fluent in three languages. She must be a pretty special lady to get the silver fox to finally settle down. Even though George has yet to officially confirm the engagement, his parents are overjoyed.

After ten years as host of The Late Late Show, Craig Ferguson announced he'll be leaving the gig at the end of the year. I don't tune in weekly, but I've caught his show many times over the years. I think he's both charming and hilarious. I wish him the best. Stephen Colbert will be replacing Letterman. I wonder who will be replacing Ferguson. CBS seriously needs to pick a female host, don't you think?

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have apparently reconciled after an 8-month split. If they're happy, I'm happy. Or something like that...

Chrissy Teigen gave Cosmopolitan a few juicy tidbits about her love life with husband John Legend. They're members of the mile-high club and are big fans of PDA. I don't know about you all, but I really like these two.

Prince William and Prince Harry will be here in Memphis this weekend. They're attending the wedding of one of their oldest friends, Guy Pelly. I thought about stalking them until I realized they weren't bringing Kate and George. Ah, bugger!

The Talk of Tinseltown is brought to you today by...

Scarlett Johansson

All You Need is a Light Jacket

The stresses of the world have gotten to me this week. I've been looking for a new job since I started this one six months ago. It's not a good fit. It's far from home. The commute is awful. I've been interviewing to no avail. I know the right thing is coming, but my patience is running thin. Everyone and everything is stressing me out.

But, instead of dwelling on the negative, I'm going to focus on the good stuff. This weekend, I have a lot of fun things planned. The weather is going to be perfect. I also have Monday off.

I may even watch Miss Congeniality.

Happy weekend to you.

3 Things I Currently Hate

1. Girls who wear too much eyeliner
If you wear thick black eyeliner in a solid circle around your entire eyeball, you're doing it wrong. I don't care how small your eyes are. You're only making them look smaller. You know what else? You look like an emo hooker.

2. The bar cart trend
To each his own, but I do not need a fancy cart with wheels to display my liquor on. I prefer to put my booze on top of the fridge, in the pantry or better yet... in my mouth hole.

3. Humble braggers
A humble bragger is someone who pretends to be modest when they're actually bragging.
Example: Rockin' a dirty ponytail, yoga pants and no makeup. Guy still hit on me at Starbucks.
Seriously, stop it.

It's almost Friday, bitches.

Day 1 of My Fit Tea 28-Day Detox

I have always wanted to try a detox or cleanse. I've never actually gone through with one though. I like food way too much. This all changed when I received FitTea. FitTea gives you all the benefits of a detox without having to give up the foods you love. Lose weight, remove toxins and have more energy while still maintaining my regular diet? Count me in!

I received the FitTea Pro Pack which contains the FitTea Fatburner and 28 Day FitTea Detox package. The two FitTea products contain 100% natural ingredients that have been used all over the world for thousands of years for both weight loss and increased energy.

The Fit Tea drink is a loose leaf tea that contains a powerful blend of Organic Green Tea, Oolong Wu Yi, Organic Rooibos, Ginger, Pomegranate, Guarana, Birch, Stevia, Corn and Honey Powder. Seriously, those are ALL of the ingredients! You only have to drink one cup of tea per day, ideally in the morning.

The Fit Tea:
• promotes fat burning
• boosts your immune system
• promotes & soothes digestion
• promotes loss of body weight

The Fit Tea Fat Burner capsules have natural antioxidants like African Mango Extract, Apple Cider Vinegar, Green Tea Extract, and Acai Fruit. African Mango is on Dr. Oz's list of favorite choices for diet supplements. Two capsules should be taken with 8 ounces of water 30 minutes before breakfast and lunch.

The Fat Burner:
• suppresses your appetite
• provides additional energy without the jitters
• removes toxins which hinder your body from burning fat

Additional tips:
• Eat healthy, balanced meals.
• Stay hydrated with plenty of water.
• Exercise regularly 3-5 times per week.

This morning, I started Day 1 of my 28-Day FitTea Detox. It certainly can't hurt to try a tea that not only tastes good, but is proven to work and will effectively help my current exercise program. I'm anxious to see how I look and feel in 28 days. I'll be back at the end of May with a full report.

"Give us a few weeks and we'll give you a new waistline".

2014 MTV Movie Awards Fashion

Conan O'Brien hosted the 2014 MTV Movie Awards last night. The show was basically an opening number with Conan, a whole bunch of awards and three musical performances. I don't really find Conan to be that funny, so I was glad I didn't see a lot of him. Overall, I think this year's program was the worst one I've seen. I had it on in the background while I did other things. There was only one great moment, and that's when Rita Ora ripped off Zac Efron's shirt. He still doesn't really do anything for me, but from the neck down... Mama likes.

Onto the ladies...

SNOOKI
I'm not a fan of the print, but I like the heels.

VICTORIA JUSTICE
I love this. It's fun, flirty and perfect for MTV.
I would have gone with a different lip color though.

KAT GRAHAM
Her look is very MTV.
Like the makeup. Don't like the hair.

SHAILENE WOODLEY
The heels are bad ass, but what's up with the thick olive leather?
I don't like it.

JWOWW
Wow! JWoww looks beautiful.

ZENDAYA COLEMAN
I just don't like high slit dresses that are also a weird length.

NICKI MINAJ
She looks so pretty!

ELLIE GOULDING
I love Ellie and her beautiful voice.
I never like what she wears though.

LESLIE MANN
I often love what Leslie wears.
This is simple with great heels.

RIHANNA
She looks like she's in her pajamas.

BELLA THORNE
There's just too much going on here.

CHRISSY TEIGEN | JESSICA ALBA
They're not my favorites, but they both look super cute.

RITA ORA | JENNA DEWAN-TATUM
Rita showed a lot of boob, but I liked it.
Jenna's dress is just ok.

MILA KUNIS | LUPITA NYONG'O
Pregnant Mila kept it safe.
It's not my favorite of Lupita's dresses, but it did look pretty amazing on tv.

Thirty-five ain't no thang.

Today is my 35th birthday. On Saturday night, my bestest friend Terri put together a casual and fun celebration. There was Kentucky basketball on the tv, drinks on the table and all of my favorite people together in one place. As a Kentucky fan, I was really hoping they'd pull out a win for my special day. It came down to the final seconds, but they did it! Unfortunately, the streak ended on Monday when they lost to UConn. Losing's never easy, but I'm proud of my boys in blue. They had a great run. And I had a great birthday!

Yes, you're reading that correctly.

My cake says Bruce.

PS - I did not change my blog design again.. just the color and picture.
