19 Days

It's been 19 days since my last post. In the last 19 days, life has kept me pretty busy. I got promoted. One of my dear friends had a baby. My son got his first black eye. Dain's competitive baseball team kept us on the road a lot. This past weekend was our last tournament until fall. We're all excited to have our Saturday and Sundays back for the next couple months.

Cheer kicked off with a 2-day camp. It's going to be a lot of fun coaching 63 girls. When the stress level gets high, I plan to unwind with a few margaritas. The Memphis heat has kicked in. The high today was 97 with a head index of 104. I hate the heat, but still have a lot of fun summer activities planned. The kids are all about sleepovers these days. We've got a few of those coming up. There will be fireworks, a Fourth of July bash, zoo fun, pool days, and more.

What have you been up to?

You have been busy! Congrats on the promotion and being a cheer coach! I often think about wanting to do that at the local HS for the dance squad but I think I might wait until I have a daughter (or a son if he wants to cheer he can cheer too) :)

The summer here has been mild because of all the rain we're getting. I think we've had like 1 day above 95? It's been really nice...well when it isn't raining and tornado-ing and flooding. It is probably nuts to say this, but I look forward to the really busy days of lots of kid activities. We're not quite there yet. Trent started karate, but I'm not sure we'll stick with it. But I can't wait to start Drew in dance or gymnastics and maybe trying a team sport with Trent this fall! Dane looks so different with that shaggy hair but so cute! Trent picked a mohawk for his summer 'do, ha.

I'm glad you get to unwind some over the next few weeks at least. It looks like you're having a great summer!

We are crazy busy too, but just with day to day stuff. We're basically only home for breakfast and bedtime. Mmmm...margaritas. I need a few! Poor Dain, that's a serious bruise! We're getting into the 90s here too and haven't had rain in a month. Hello, drought!
